The Book

Title: The Evil in the Tower
Genre: Horror

Obsession, possession, and a terrifying past stalk the present, and an unpunished evil triggers ghostly revenge, in this supernatural thriller.

Deedsy’s rundown mansion is haunted by a ghastly spirit who reappears each time tragedy strikes her family. Deedsy believes it somehow involves the century-old feud between her family and the Ryans.

When her old classmate Nick Ryan comes back to town, history is inadvertently recreated, the dreadful spectre returns, and a series of gruesome murders begin.

Deedsy’s growing suspicion about a horrific event from the past that still impacts the present, comes too late to prevent a possession. But can she find and destroy the appalling connections between them all in time to save the ones she loves?

About the Author:

Debra/D. L. Robinson is an Appalachian author of eight books and a lifelong professional musician/songwriter. She also dabbles in music publishing, and has a song in a Matthew McConaughey film trailer, and two CDs. She attributes her love of music and storytelling since childhood to her Irish and Cherokee roots.

Her first book was a nonfiction memoir, “A Haunted Life”, released by Llewellyn Worldwide followed by “The Dead are Watching”. She has another true haunting book with History Press. “Red Death” is a post-apocalyptic thriller series by Severed Press, about an Ebola pandemic which nearly destroys the world. Her latest book “The Evil in the Tower” a dark tale of obsession and possession, was recently released by Digital Horror Fiction. A two book dark fantasy series will follow. She also writes short stories, and recently several anthologies feature hers: Test Patterns: Creature Features, Killing it Softly 2, Don’t Cry to Mama, and the Deathlehem charity series.
