Kitchen Smack: Garlic Mushroom White Sauce

I made this recipe up the other day when I needed alfredo sauce for a dish and didn’t have any or the ingredients to make some from scratch. I was pleasantly surprised at how good this tasted and plan to use it to dress up my chicken in the future.

Garlic Mushroom White Sauce

Yield: 4

Garlic Mushroom White Sauce

  • 1 c butter
  • 1/4 c milk
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 14 c grated parmesan
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp italian blend seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp basil
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic and herb blend seasoning

  1. Melt butter in a small pot.
  2. Add minced garlic, seasonings, cheeses, milk, and soup. Stir until well blended.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently until sauce is as thick as you like.
  4. Pour over noodles. Serve hot.

Add onion/pepper blend or mushrooms, green beans, broccoli, etc. Add chicken or beef strips. Tastes great as a soup, too!

A sauce for everything and everyone. #whatscooking #kitchensmack Click To Tweet
