I am honored to introduce you to
Tally Adams, Author
Story: Shadow Pact
What is your favorite story you’ve written/read? Tell us about it.
My favorite story I’ve ever written was when I was 13. It was my very first book, entitled 6 Pack. It was about 6 foster kids who stole an RV and headed for the Canadian border, pursued by the foster parents and police all the way. While it was executed with the mind of a child, the story was actually quite sound. More importantly, it started my lifelong love of writing.
What three things must you have on hand to write?
Does the obvious ‘an idea’ count? If not, I need coffee, quiet, and a computer that’s plugged in.
What are you working on next?
I’m working on the second book in the Shadow Series, entitled Shadow Blood. For anyone who’s read Shadow Pact, this is Paoli’s story, and his heroine is fabulous! I’m also finishing up a non-fiction about the horrors that go on in the background of healthcare (I’ve been an RN over a decade). This one is entitled Broken System.
Name your greatest fear.
Writer’s block. Or, as someone else has put it, When Your Imaginary Friends Stop Talking To You.
About the Author:
I live in Texas with my husband and four children. (And one big, fat English bulldog). I’ve been writing my entire life. I learned early the characters in my head just swirl around with different potentials if I don’t put them on paper. By the time I entered high school, I’d already written my first book. Years later, I worked as a nurse and continued to write. Finally, I decided to move forward into the world of publication and share my imaginary friends with the world.
Shadow Pact was released in 2018 in digital format through Kindle. Audible release in September 2018, and paperback format through Brown Books in the Spring of 2019. The main characters, William and Emily, flowed as they were expected to through the story. Paoli, however, became a real pain. He refused to stay in the original idea I had for him, and continued to shift into a very different character than I meant him to be. Eventually, I gave up the fight and allowed him to develop as he was determined to.
The next book in the series, Shadow Blood, is Paoli’s story. I can’t wait to see how it unfurls, but Paoli’s woman is sure to keep him on his toes!
