I have a “bad” habit. I tend to write to prompts (or from inspiration of a prompt) to the point where many times I need to go hunting for one to wake my muse up. Prompts are to my muse what coffee is to me, LOL.
However, I finally managed to break away and write a story you’ve never read (yep. I’ve been holding out on you!). I wrote this story based on a theme of “luck” in hopes that it will be included in a book of short stories (an anthology if you will) called Precipice. The group responsible for getting me writing again, Write on Edge, made the call for submissions, and I had until the end of April to submit.
Submit I did, and then in June, I received the word that MY STORY HAD BEEN CHOSEN!!!!!! Woot! Woot!! I am very pleased to be able to share the cover of the book my story “Fear” will be published in..
And for a teaser, here is a blurb for the story:
“When a young princess takes on the challenge of defeating the beast terrorizing her kingdom, she discovers the only thing standing in her way of victory is herself.”
I know, I know, but you have to wait until the book comes out on October 22, 2013 to read it. And I have to tell you that several of my favorite writers, Kirsten A. Piccini, Stacey Meservy, Jessie Powell to name three, have stories in this anthology as well. You are going to want this book in your collection.
And, for more news, long-time readers will remember a Christmas serial I wrote titled “Christmas at Tiffany’s.” Over the past two years, I have been working hard on editing it and putting a polish on it, even renaming it, until I realized it was finally just right. On July 5, 2013, I submitted it to Bannerwing Books with the intent to have them publish it as a novelette. After a month or so of eager anticipation (and a couple rounds of impatience on my part), I received word that YES! They want to publish the story!! Woot Woot Woot!!
The expected release date for Til Death Do Us Part is December 1, 2013, just in time for some thrilling Holiday reading. Later next month, I may (or may not) share a cover reveal, which is being done by the artist, Jeremy Gann. I’m so excited to have him working on this project with me and can’t wait to see what he comes up with!
If you missed this story, no worries. Here’s the blurb I wrote that hooked the publisher:
“When Ian buys Elizabeth a Tiffany’s engagement ring, he unwittingly sets off a series of deadly events as the ring goes full circle to be reunited with its intended.”
Imagine that. I never really expected to ever see my dream of getting published come true. Thanks to all of your for your unending faith in me. I hope you’ll keep reading for years to come.

Again, thanks for stopping in. Your readership means the world to me.
